One chairside Zoom visit with Dr. Nelly Silva, a graduate of the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, plus custom trays to keep your new shade at home.

These are our own patients, photographed by Dr. Nelly Silva before and after whitening. Most pairs include a shade tab beside the teeth, the same reference we use to record your starting and finished shade.
How far your teeth lighten depends on your starting shade and stain type. We tell you what to expect at the exam.
Results vary from patient to patient.
Zoom is an in-office whitening system. We paint a hydrogen peroxide whitening gel onto the front surfaces of your teeth and activate it with the Zoom light. The gel breaks apart the stain molecules held inside the enamel, so the color of the tooth itself changes, not only its surface.
Because the gel is professional strength, it stays in our hands. We check your shade between rounds and stop at a color that looks natural on you.
Zoom works on the natural enamel of healthy teeth. A short exam tells us whether it will reach the shade you want.
Most of the appointment is spent relaxing in the chair while the gel works. Plan on about an hour.
We look for decay, leaking fillings and gum problems, then record your starting shade.
We polish away surface plaque, hold your lips back and seal your gums with a protective barrier.
The whitening gel goes on in timed rounds under the Zoom light, with a shade check between rounds.
We fit your take-home trays and explain which foods and drinks to limit for the first couple of days.
Every option relies on a peroxide gel. What changes is its strength, how it is activated and who supervises it.
We offer Zoom and custom take-home trays: Zoom for the change, trays to keep it.

Dr. Silva earned her DMD at Temple University's Kornberg School of Dentistry, where she is now a Clinical Associate Professor. She is a graduate of the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, a postgraduate center for aesthetic and neuromuscular dentistry, and a Fellow of the International College of Dentists.
She plans your whitening shade around any crowns or veneers you already have, so your smile reads as one color. She asks patients to call her Nelly.
"They took great care of my teeth: the X-rays, cleaning, and whitening."

Your price depends on whether you add custom take-home trays and whether your teeth need a cleaning before whitening. We confirm the cost after your exam, before any whitening starts, and we offer payment plans so you can spread it out.
What Phoenixville patients ask before booking.
For yellowing from coffee, tea, wine or age, Zoom gives a visible change in one visit rather than weeks of strips. The exam tells you whether your stains will respond before you spend anything.
No whitening is permanent: the coffee, tea, red wine and tobacco that stained your teeth will slowly stain them again. Patients who limit those habits and use their trays for short touch-ups keep their shade longest.
Both use a professional peroxide gel, and the gel does the whitening. The bigger difference for your result is a careful exam and shade plan, which is where we start.
No. Gel lightens natural enamel only. If you plan new crowns or veneers at the front of your mouth, whiten first so we can match the new work to your brighter shade.
Yes. Whitening gel should only go on healthy teeth, and a cleaning clears tartar so the gel reaches the enamel evenly.
