What Oaks Patients Find in Our Office

We are an independent office with one location, on Arcola Road in Collegeville. The dentist who examines you plans your care, and the tools to carry it out are in the same building.

01

One Office, One Team

We are not part of a chain or group. Your records, x-rays and the people who know your history stay in one place.

02

Gentler Numbing

The Wand Advanced Anesthesia delivers numbing at a slow, controlled pace. Conscious sedation is available for patients who feel anxious.

03

Screening in Every Exam

Checkups include an Identafi oral cancer screening, a light-based check of the tissues inside the mouth.

04

Answers in 3D

Our Vatech CT scanner shows teeth, roots and jaw bone in three dimensions. The iTero Element scanner replaces impression trays with a digital scan.

FAQ

FAQ About a Dentist in Oaks, PA

Answers to the questions Oaks patients ask us most. Tap a question to open it.

How far is your office from Oaks?

Our only office is at 399 Arcola Road in Collegeville, a short drive from Oaks. We are an independent office with no other locations, so you see the same dentists at every visit.

How often should I see a dentist?

Many patients do well with a checkup and cleaning twice a year. Patients with gum disease often need cleanings more often to keep it under control. We set your schedule after your first exam, based on what we find.

How much does a root canal cost?

The cost depends on which tooth is treated, whether it needs a crown afterward and what your plan covers. We are in-network with all PPO dental plans, and we give you an estimate before treatment starts. Payment plans can spread the cost over time.

Which dental insurance do you accept?

We accept all PPO dental insurance plans. We do not accept Medicaid. Patients without insurance can join our dental savings plan.

Can I be seen quickly for a broken tooth or toothache?

Contact us as soon as it happens and tell us it is urgent. Recent patients with a broken tooth have been seen the same day, and one was seen an hour after calling. Until your visit, keep any broken pieces and chew on the other side.

It has been years since my last dental visit. Where do I start?

Start with a new patient visit. We do a full exam and the imaging you need, then explain a plan in order of priority. Patients who return after a long gap are treated without judgment.

Can a dentist help with snoring or jaw pain?

Often, yes. Dr. Silva is a Diplomate in Dental Sleep Medicine and fits custom oral appliances for snoring and obstructive sleep apnea. She also completed a TMD residency and treats jaw pain and teeth grinding.
