FAQ

Questions From Limerick Patients

Is your dental office in Limerick?

No. Our only office is at 399 Arcola Road in Collegeville, a short drive from Limerick along Route 422. We are a single, independent office and are not affiliated with any other dental practice, including offices with Limerick in their name.

What does PA mean in dentistry?

In a search such as this one, PA is Pennsylvania. Inside a dental chart, PA usually means a periapical x-ray, a small image that shows a whole tooth from crown to root tip. Dentists use it to check for infection or bone changes around a root.

How much is a root canal in PA?

The cost depends on which tooth needs treatment, how many canals it has, whether it needs a crown afterward, and your insurance. Front teeth are usually simpler than molars. We examine and image the tooth first, then give you the cost before treatment begins.

Do you see children from Limerick?

Yes. We offer pediatric dentistry, including fluoride supplements, sealants, sports guards and habit appliances. Sedation dentistry for children is available when a young patient needs help staying calm.

Can a dentist help with snoring or sleep apnea?

Yes. Dr. Silva is a Diplomate in Dental Sleep Medicine and completed the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine Master Track. She makes oral appliances for patients with obstructive sleep apnea and snoring, and also treats TMJ pain.

What should I do about a broken tooth or toothache?

Contact us as soon as it happens and tell us it is urgent. Recent patients with a broken tooth have been seen the same day they called. Until your visit, rinse with warm water, keep any broken pieces and chew on the other side.
