Your 3D scan, gum and bone care, implant and final tooth in one Collegeville office, planned by Dr. Nelly Silva, a fellowship recipient of the American Dental Implant Association.

Two of our own patients: a full upper arch replaced on All-on-X implants, and a worn, gapped smile rebuilt with implant restorations. Results vary, and every plan starts with an exam.

An implant replaces a lost tooth from the root up. A post set in the jawbone takes the place of the root, and a custom crown, bridge or denture attaches on top once the bone has healed around it.
Implant care is often split between offices, with imaging at one, surgery at another and the new tooth at a third. We are an independent office with one location, so the dentist who reads your scan also places the post and fits the tooth.
Most healthy adults with a missing or failing tooth can have an implant. Your scan shows whether the jaw is ready now or needs a graft or gum care first.
A single crown on a post closes the gap, and the teeth on either side keep their natural shape.
When a cracked or infected tooth has to come out, we plan the extraction and the implant together.
A few implants can anchor a denture so it stays put while you eat and speak.
Implants can carry a bridge or a complete arch of teeth, as in the All-on-X case above.
The jaw thins in the years after a tooth is lost. A bone graft can rebuild the site for a post.
If another office proposed implants, we can review your x-rays and talk you through the options.
Surgical offices, restorative specialists and general dentists with implant training all offer implants. The difference for you is how many offices and handoffs sit between a missing tooth and a finished one.
Whichever office you choose, ask who places the post, who makes the tooth and where the scan is taken.

Dr. Silva received her fellowship from the American Dental Implant Association in 2012 and handles implant cases herself, from a single tooth to full mouth reconstruction. She earned her DMD at Temple University's Kornberg School of Dentistry and teaches there as a Clinical Associate Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, Medicine and Surgery.

Dr. Michael Strassberg is skilled in all aspects of periodontics. When gums or bone need care before an implant, he treats them here, where your scans already are.
I went for a second opinion on implants, she studied the X-rays and was able to give me her opinion at that appt. Her demeanor was professional and friendly.

If you are like me and haven't seen a dentist in an embarrassing amount of time, they will treat you like a human being and make you comfortable.

Most cases take a few months, and most of that is quiet healing at home. Every visit happens at our office on Arcola Road.
We examine your teeth and gums, take a CT scan and go over your options, timeline and cost before anything is scheduled.
A failing tooth, thin bone or gum disease is treated first. Some grafts go in on the same day as the implant.
Dr. Silva places the post under local anesthetic delivered with The Wand. Conscious sedation is available if you feel anxious.
The bone bonds to the post over several months. A temporary tooth can often fill the space in the meantime.
An iTero digital scan guides the crown, bridge or denture, which we attach and adjust until your bite feels right.
Regular visits keep the gums around the implant healthy, the same way they protect natural teeth.
One price cannot cover every implant. The total depends on how many teeth are replaced, the restoration on top and whether an extraction or bone graft comes first. You see the full cost of your plan before treatment begins.
We accept all PPO dental insurance plans and help you understand what yours covers. We do not accept Medicaid.
Larger cases can be spread over time with our payment plans.
Patients without dental insurance can join our dental savings plan.
What Oaks patients ask before choosing where to have an implant placed.
Look for implant-specific training, 3D imaging and a clear answer to who places the post and who makes the tooth. Dr. Silva holds a fellowship from the American Dental Implant Association and both places and restores implants in our office, so one dentist stays responsible for your case.
Fees vary by office and by case, so a state average says little about your mouth. The number of implants, the restoration on top and any extraction or graft all change the total. We give you the cost of your own plan after your exam and scan.
Implants take longer than a bridge or denture, because the bone needs months to bond with the post. Placement is a surgical step, and the upfront cost is usually higher. You also need healthy gums and enough bone, which can add gum treatment or a graft to the plan.
The biggest change is digital planning. We map your bone with a 3D CT scan and record your bite with an iTero Element digital scan, so the post position and the final tooth are planned before treatment day. Full-arch options such as All-on-X replace a whole arch of teeth on a small number of implants.
Our only office is at 399 Arcola Road in Collegeville, a short drive from Oaks. Every implant visit, from the first scan to the final tooth, happens at that address.
