One office visit of about an hour with Dr. Nelly Silva, a short drive from Limerick, with your teeth and gums checked before any whitening gel goes on.

These are patients Dr. Silva whitened in our office, photographed before treatment and again afterward. In two of the cases a shade tab sits against the teeth, which is how we measure the change from your starting color.
Every smile starts from a different shade, so your exam is where we set a realistic goal for yours.

Zoom! is an in-office whitening system. A hydrogen peroxide gel is applied to the front surfaces of your teeth, and the Zoom! lamp activates it so stains lift in a single appointment rather than over weeks of home use.
Because the whole treatment happens in our chair, Dr. Silva checks your gums, enamel and existing dental work before the gel goes on and looks at the result before you leave. It is a practical choice ahead of a wedding, a job interview or a graduation.
Zoom! is one of two whitening systems we offer. Patients who prefer to whiten without a light, or who have deep stains, can ask about KöR.
Whitening gel changes the shade of natural enamel. Your exam tells us whether your stains will respond to it, or whether another step should come first.
We offer two professional systems because stains and schedules differ. Here is how they compare with strips from the pharmacy.
The whitening itself takes about an hour. If your exam shows you need a cleaning or other care, we schedule that before your whitening visit.
Dr. Silva looks at your teeth, gums and any crowns or fillings, and we record your starting shade with a shade guide.
A retractor holds your lips and cheeks back, a protective barrier covers your gums and the whitening gel goes onto your teeth.
The Zoom! lamp sits over your smile while the gel works in timed rounds. We refresh the gel between rounds and check on your comfort throughout.
We compare your result with the starting shade. For the first day or two, go easy on coffee, tea, red wine and other dark foods and drinks.
Dr. Nelly Silva, DMDDr. Silva earned her DMD at Temple University's Kornberg School of Dentistry, where she now teaches as a Clinical Associate Professor. She is a graduate of the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, a postgraduate center for aesthetic and neuromuscular dentistry.

"They took great care of my teeth: the X-rays, cleaning, and whitening."

We do not quote whitening sight unseen. The fee depends on what your teeth need first, so you get your price after your exam, before any treatment starts.
Some patients go straight to whitening. Others need a cleaning or a filling first, and we tell you that up front.
We offer payment plans so you can spread the cost of whitening rather than paying it all at once.
Dental insurance usually treats whitening as cosmetic. Patients without insurance can ask about our dental savings plan.

Our office sits on Arcola Road in Collegeville, a short drive east of Limerick. Pairing your whitening with a dental cleaning means the gel goes onto freshly polished enamel.

No. Whitening gel works on natural enamel, so crowns, veneers, bonding and fillings keep their current shade. Dr. Silva checks where they sit in your smile and tells you before treatment whether they would stand out afterward.
It depends mostly on your habits. Coffee, tea, red wine and tobacco bring stains back sooner, while regular cleanings help keep them away. We can talk about touch-up options at your checkups.
Zoom! suits patients who want a visible change in one office visit. KöR uses no lights, includes at-home options and is our choice for tough stains such as tetracycline staining. Dr. Silva recommends one after looking at your teeth.
Yes. Whitening needs healthy teeth and gums, so we check for cavities, gum inflammation and worn enamel first. Anything that needs care is treated before the whitening gel goes on.
