Restylane® filler planned by a cosmetic dentist, so your lips, smile lines and smile are designed together.

Our Patients
This patient was treated in our own treatment room. The aim was a fuller, more defined lip line that still looks like her, with the shape of the lip kept intact.
We plan every filler visit for a rested, natural result rather than an overfilled one. Results vary from patient to patient.

Restylane® gels matched to each area
Hyaluronic acid is a substance your skin makes on its own. It holds water, which keeps skin full and smooth. Production slows with age, and sun, smoking and gravity add to the volume loss that shows up as folds, hollows and thinning lips.
Dermal fillers place a stabilized hyaluronic acid gel where volume has faded. We use Restylane® fillers: a softer gel for lips and finer lines, and a firmer formulation for deeper folds and the cheeks. Many plans use both in one visit. Results are visible when you leave and settle over the following days.
Dr. Silva is a cosmetic dentist, so lip filler is planned with your teeth in view. Lip fullness, how much tooth shows when you smile and the corners of the mouth all affect one another. If you are also considering whitening or veneers, we map the lips and smile as one plan.
Treatment Areas
Most plans focus on one or two areas. We recommend where filler will make the most difference after watching your face at rest and in motion.
Adds shape, definition or subtle fullness and softens fine vertical lip lines.
Softens the smile lines that run from the sides of the nose to the mouth.
Fills the lines below the corners of the mouth that can make you look tired or sad.
Softens hollows and shadows under the eyes for a more rested look.
Restores midface volume and contour that thins with age.
Candidates
Fillers suit adults in good general health who want a visible but natural change without surgery. We review your health history and medications first, and we tell you if another treatment fits your goals better.
Dr. Nelly Silva, DMDMeet Dr. Silva
Dr. Silva's daily work centers on the mouth, lips and jaw, the same part of the face where most filler is placed. She asks patients to call her Nelly, and she takes the time to talk through your goals before recommending anything.
"Very professional and welcoming. Takes time for questions and gives detailed explanations."

Your Visit
We talk through your goals and agree on the areas, product and amount before anything is injected.
Depending on the area, we prepare the skin with numbing cream, ice or a local anesthetic block.
Small amounts of gel are placed and shaped by hand. You see the change in the mirror before you leave.
Most patients go back to their day afterward. We give you aftercare instructions, and your result settles over about two weeks.
Fillers or Botox
We offer both, and many patients combine them for a balanced result. The difference comes down to what causes the line you want to treat.
The cost of dermal fillers depends on the product and how many syringes your plan needs, so we quote it at your consultation once we know your goals. We offer payment plans to spread the cost over time.
FAQ
It depends on the product, the area treated and how quickly your body breaks the gel down. Lip filler often lasts around six months, and firmer fillers in deeper areas such as the cheeks can last longer. A touch-up before the filler fully fades can help results last longer.
We prepare each area with numbing cream, ice or a local anesthetic block, chosen for the area we are treating. We check in with you throughout the visit and pause whenever you need.
Yes. Small amounts placed in the cheeks, lips and the folds around the mouth can bring features into better proportion with one another. Because Dr. Silva also plans smiles, she looks at how your lips frame your teeth as part of that balance.
The product, the number of syringes and the areas treated all change the total. Lips often need less product than several areas treated together. You get a clear quote at your consultation before any treatment begins.
Hyaluronic acid fillers can be broken down with an enzyme called hyaluronidase. That reversibility is one reason hyaluronic acid gels are a common choice for first-time patients. We can talk through this at your consultation.
For the first day, skip strenuous exercise, saunas and other heat, and avoid pressing or massaging the treated area unless we ask you to. Follow the aftercare instructions we give you, and reach out if anything concerns you.
