Years without care give decay and gum disease time to progress quietly. We start with what is urgent, explain what can wait, and nobody is judged for the gap.

Your First Visit

What Happens at Your First Visit

Most first visits include a full exam and a cleaning. If the exam finds something that needs treatment, you leave knowing your options and the timing.

  1. 01

    Health Review

We go over your health history, medications and anything that is bothering you right now.

  2. 02

    Imaging

Digital X-rays when your exam calls for them. Our Vatech CT scanner gives a 3D view when implants or complex cases are being planned.

  3. 03

    Full Exam

A tooth-by-tooth exam, bite assessment and Identafi oral cancer screening, with an intraoral camera for spots that are hard to see.

  4. 04

    Cleaning and Coaching

Your hygienist cleans and polishes, then shows you how to remove plaque at home so gum problems are less likely to return.

  5. 05

    Your Plan

We show you the images, explain what we found and talk through options. Digital iTero scans replace messy impressions when you need them.

Comfort First

Numbing with The Wand delivers anesthetic through computer-controlled flow rather than a traditional syringe, and Dr. Silva offers conscious sedation for patients who need more help relaxing.

Questions

FAQ About a Dentist in Skippack, PA

Answers to what Skippack patients ask most before their first visit.

How far is your office from Skippack?

Our office is at 399 Arcola Road in Collegeville, a short drive southwest of Skippack Village. We also see patients from Trappe, Oaks, Royersford, Limerick, Phoenixville and Norristown. One office handles cleanings, gum care, implants and sleep apnea treatment, which saves trips between specialists.

Do you take my dental insurance?

We accept all PPO dental insurance plans. We do not accept Medicaid. Patients without insurance can join our dental savings plan, and we offer payment plans for larger treatment.

I have not seen a dentist in years. What should I expect?

Years without care give decay and gum disease time to progress, often without pain, so the first step is a full exam and the X-rays you need. We explain what we find, list what is urgent and what can wait, and build a plan from there. Many of our patients start exactly this way, and nobody is judged for the gap.

What does PA mean in dental terms?

On a dental chart, PA usually stands for periapical, an X-ray that shows a whole tooth from the crown to the tip of the root. It helps the dentist spot infection, bone loss or problems around the root that a visual exam cannot show. We take digital X-rays only when your exam calls for them.

How much does it cost to have a tooth removed?

The cost depends on whether the extraction is simple or surgical, such as an impacted wisdom tooth, and on what your insurance covers. We give you the cost after an exam and X-rays, before the extraction is scheduled. Payment plans are available.

How can I get dental implants if the cost is a concern?

Start with an exam, because the plan and the price depend on how many teeth are missing and whether bone grafting is needed. Many PPO plans cover part of implant treatment, and our payment plans spread the rest over time. We also explain alternatives such as bridges and full or partial dentures, so you can compare.

Can I be seen quickly for a broken tooth?

Contact our office as soon as it happens. Several patients have written that they were seen the same day they reached out with a broken or painful tooth. Until your visit, rinse with warm water and avoid chewing on that side.

Do you see children?

Yes. We offer cleanings, sealants, fluoride, sports guards and habit appliances for children, and sedation options for kids who need extra help relaxing. Parents and children can be seen in the same office.
