In-office Zoom whitening with Dr. Nelly Silva, DMD, whose postgraduate training focused on aesthetic dentistry.
Our office on Arcola Road in Collegeville is a short drive from Oaks. One appointment gives you a lighter shade and a plan to keep it.

Each case is a patient of Dr. Silva's, before and after professional whitening. Starting shade and stain type shape how far teeth lighten, so we set honest expectations at your first visit.

AfterZoom is an in-office whitening system from Philips, done in one visit in our dental chair.
After your lips and gums are covered with a protective barrier, a hydrogen peroxide gel goes onto the front surfaces of your teeth. The Zoom light then helps the gel work over a series of short, timed sessions, with fresh gel applied between them.
Because our team controls every step, the gel can be more concentrated than anything in a home kit.
Zoom works on natural enamel that has picked up stains or yellowed with age. Dr. Silva checks your teeth and gums first, so whitening never covers up a problem that needs care.
A daily cup leaves the yellow-brown film that whitening lifts most readily.
Pigments from wine, berries and sauces build up in enamel over the years.
Smoking stains often lighten well, and quitting helps the new shade last.
Enamel thins over time and lets more of the yellow layer beneath show.
Weddings, photos and interviews, when one visit beats weeks of strips.
We look for cavities, gum inflammation and worn enamel, then record your starting shade. Anything that needs treatment comes first.
Teeth are polished and a barrier covers your lips and gums, so the gel only touches enamel.
The whitening gel goes on and the Zoom light is applied in short sessions, with fresh gel between rounds. You can relax in the chair while we check on you.
We compare the final shade with where you started and go over aftercare and touch-ups.

All three use peroxide to lighten enamel. The differences are the strength of the gel, who applies it and how long you wait to see a change.

★★★★★The staff is very professional, super friendly, and I love the modern equipment. They took great care of my teeth: the X-rays, cleaning, and whitening.

Dr. Silva earned her DMD at Temple University's Kornberg School of Dentistry, where she now teaches as a Clinical Associate Professor. Her postgraduate work at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies centered on aesthetic and neuromuscular dentistry, and it shapes how she judges shade and the smile as a whole.
That matters when whitening is one part of a bigger plan. If Invisalign or restorative work is ahead, she times your whitening so new work matches your brighter teeth.
We confirm your exact fee at your visit, before any treatment starts, so there are no surprises.
Whether a cleaning or other care should come first shapes the total.
We offer payment plans so a brighter smile can fit your monthly budget.

What Oaks patients ask us most before whitening.
Zoom results are not permanent. They fade gradually, and how quickly depends mostly on coffee, tea, red wine and tobacco habits. Regular cleanings and occasional touch-up whitening help you hold on to your new shade much longer.
For the fastest change, in-office whitening such as Zoom uses a stronger gel than home kits, applied by our team in one visit. Take-home trays work more gradually and are useful for maintenance. Dr. Silva recommends one or both after looking at your stains, enamel and goals.
Plan for at least a couple of weeks before the date. That leaves room for an exam and any cleaning first, and gives your shade a few days to settle after treatment. If you are also planning other cosmetic work, start the conversation earlier.
Patients from Oaks come to our office at 399 Arcola Road in Collegeville, a short drive away. Every whitening visit is done in our office by Dr. Silva's team.
Yes. Whitening is often the first step, because new restorations are matched to your teeth after they have been brightened. If Invisalign or restorative work is part of your plan, Dr. Silva sequences the steps so everything ends up the same shade.
Tell us what you would like to change about the color of your smile. Dr. Silva will give you an honest view of what Zoom can do for it and map out your visit.
