Advanced Dentistry’s very own Dr. Nelly Silva was featured in a Reading Eagle article, written by Tracy Rasmussen, discussing female led dental practices! In the article it explains how Dr. Silva not only opened her own practice, but also built it from scratch instead of taking over another practice. Originally wanting to become a broadcast journalist, Dr. Silva found science to be her calling. After shadowing oral surgeons and discovering a knack for figuring out exactly what needed to be done to perfect a smile, Dr. Silva switched her major and the rest is history.
Dr. Silva graduated from Temple School of Dentistry, took cosmetic dentistry classes at the Las Vegas Institute of Advanced Dentistry, and trained in neuromuscular dentistry. She values ongoing dental education and continues to train often in order to provide the best possible service for her patients.
Female owned dental practices are on the rise and we’re thrilled to have Dr. Silva be featured in the discussion! You can find and read the article in its entirety here.
